John MacLean Photography, established in 1993, is based near Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis and offers comprehensive photographic services including:

- High quality photography of property exteriors and interiors
- High-resolution product and object photography

- High quality copying of artwork, including works behind glass
- Custom mounting and framing of all types of artwork and photography
I am a full-time professional photographer, know the islands well, am a native Gaelic speaker and have many years of experience photographing the people and landscapes of the Outer Hebrides, working in remote areas and dealing with whatever the erratic Hebridean climate can throw at me!
My clients’ needs always come first and I am happy to discuss individual requirements on any project. I place great importance on punctuality, reliability and clear communication in my business, as this helps me deliver the end product you want, when you want it.
The bulk of my work consists of P.R. photography, property photography and work for online and print media. I am also a CAA-registered and insured drone photographer. I deal with photographic agencies and news outlets throughout the UK, enjoy working with people and have a professional and personal interest in all aspects of the healthy arts/creative industries and other businesses, large or small, in the Hebrides.
Whatever the brief, my aim always is to produce high quality work that comes up to your expectations and also satisfies me as a job well done. Let’s work together!
