Lews Castle & Museum, Stornoway
Museum nan Eilean’s new base in Stornoway, connected to the newly refurbished Lews Castle, will be opening its doors to the public on Thursday, 14th July. Displays in the new museum will include photographic exhibitions, many archaeological finds, Viking silver hoards and six of the world famous Lewis Chess pieces discovered in Uig, Isle of Lewis in 1831.
