Open Studios Hebrides event

I enjoyed meeting those who visited my studio/workshop last weekend: the second Open Studios Hebrides weekend starts tomorrow, Thursday 29th July, and runs through to Saturday 31st. Call in at 22 Upper Coll anytime between 10am and 4pm to see some of my photography and where I carry out bespoke photography/art framing for customers.

There is also a chance to see the beautiful 1870s brass and mahogany camera formerly owned by Peter Liddle, farmer at Gress from the 1890s to 1929.

By John MacLean, 09/12/2020

Afew downsized images from recent installation photography of Mhairi Corr’s brilliant exhibition Stone Child at An Lanntair arts centre, Stornoway.

Framing of Ragnar Axelsson image

A simple framing of an image by photographer Ragnar Axelsson: this fine art print was overlaid with an archival antique white mount and set in a lime wood frame.

Please get in touch if you have artwork you want framed to the highest standard, whether it’s for exhibition, for your own walls or for giving as a gift.

Panoramic photography

By John MacLean, 17/03/15:

Ihave acquired some new equipment recently for more specialised panoramic work where very wide-view photographs are required (or even 360 degree panoramics, for use as VR quicktime files).

Contact me for more details if you need this kind of work carried out.
