Scotland’s Year of Coasts and Waters

The year 2020 is Scotland’s Year of Coasts and Waters, with a varied programme of events to start off the year. Scotland has thousands of lochs and lochans, many rivers and streams and some of the most varied and spectacular coastline in the world.

Led by VisitScotland, a year-long programme of activities and events will spotlight the impact Scotland’s waters have had on the landscapes, the coastline and the economy, from the shaping of striking natural formations to the making of Scotch whisky.
